Vaccines do not cause SIDS
“Temporal proximity” means “happened after.”
It does not mean “happened because of.”
SIDS peaks at the same age infants receive routine vaccines. Some deaths will therefore occur shortly after vaccination even if vaccination played no role.
The scientific question is whether deaths occur more often than expected after adjusting for age, timing, and background rates.
And notice the authors themselves state their paper does not prove an association.
Highlighting one sentence while ignoring the limitations is not “following the science.” It’s quote mining.
a substantial proportion of infant deaths and SIDS cases occurred in temporal proximity to vaccine administration.
The excess of deaths during these early post-vaccination periods was statistically significant.
That’s according to the science.
