I'm so impressed by Slax Linux, that I might just run this (or similar RAM File System based OS) as a daily driver.
Keeping the file system in RAM makes it fast, and reduces HDD/SSD wear.
They also allow us to create a "backup" of our OS, that will remain stable forever.
Slax Linux has a command called "savechanges" that packages whatever we have installed into a .sb module.
This allows us to bake our installed apps (redshift, zathura, evince) into the OS.
Whenever the system crashes, we don't have to install them again.
It's like a backup.
