@SonicLabs has consistently failed to follow through on commitments made to the original Fantom community.
Now weβre seeing the launch of a native stablecoin
$USSD and a new ambassador program being framed as βvertical integrationβ for the ecosystem. But many long-time contributors are still waiting for clarity on earlier promises.
What happened to the Opera Community Incentives that were supposed to reward loyalty and participation from Fantom OGs?
For context, the community already voted on multiple governance proposals during the Fantom β Sonic transition, including airdrops and incentive structures meant to reward existing users and participants. Yet the implementation and communication around these programs have been unclear or delayed.
At the same time, new initiatives like
$USSD, Sonicβs recently announced native stablecoin built with frax infrastructure, are being rolled out as key ecosystem pillars.
This raises a serious question for the community:
Was the original Fantom community used as a stepping stone to bootstrap Sonic, while new narratives are being built to attract fresh capital?
We would appreciate a clear explanation from the board of directors.
