Behind the scenes
I remember Aunty Kate walking up to me after the first take where I had reclined into myself as I do in between takes.
My head was down and I was honestly so broken from the weight of Kemi’s reality.
She held my shoulders, as I looked up. She had tears in her eyes and the only thing that came out was “Thank you for going there”. Then I looked back down and that’s all I can remember, well asides @danieloriahi coming to ask me how I was able to bring out the catarrh and if I could do it again 😂
I wasn’t sure but yeah, it came out again and after that scene, the catarrh miraculously went its way.
The day we shot the black hole scenes, I wanted to be left alone in the hole even when we weren’t shooting.
I also didn’t want anyone caring about me and had told production to not ask me if I needed anything, water or food.
One person did because she loves Nancy and Kemi went off on her, sorry again Spav 👀💙
Then came @blessingjessicaobasi, she didn’t interfere in my process but I could see it in her eyes that she was worried for me, especially when my fingers bled from writing on the wall.
I would hear “chai” from her in between takes 😂
I honestly didn’t think they were thinking anything of me or what I had going on 😂 So to watch this @withchude episode and hear how they felt about it for real had me speechless and in my feelings for real.
