More Fertile Ganga doab chhod kar green revolution Punjab laya gaya 80s me, ab isse jyada kya expectation rakhte ho country ki!!! Green revolution ke paise se thar aur chitta lena h to uske liye sarkar responsible ni h, election time me SPGC ki baat sunni h to uske liye bhi sarkar responsible ni hogi kabhi
SAD-BJP alliance is not new to Punjab politics.
They formed governments in 1967, 1969, 1997, 2007 & 2012 - and ruled continuously from 2007-2017 under Parkash Singh Badal.
Truth is, many Punjabis still remember that era for relatively stable governance, roads, power infrastructure, farmer outreach, atta-dal schemes, peace after militancy years, and strong Punjabi/Sikh identity politics.
But people also remember the negatives: drug issue perception, sand/mining & corruption allegations, family-centric politics, unemployment, weakening industry, and growing anger against traditional parties.
Punjab voters are emotional but practical. They don’t vote only on religion, nationalism or freebies for long. They reward dignity, jobs, law & order, farmer confidence, industry, and leaders who actually feel accessible.
Any party wanting power in Punjab - BJP, SAD, Congress or AAP - must understand one thing: Punjab wants respect first, narratives later.
