Surrey Police said the warnings are to set "behavioural boundaries.. An initiative is underway in Surrey based on similar models elsewhere in the UK.. supporting the policing response to individuals who frequently present to police with suicidal behaviour" So, SIM lives #StopSIM

Words are cheap , NHS England do not seem to care about patients who experience mis treatment from services . However the above quote came as part of the stopsim campaign and any such acceptance at a high level is good .

👏👏👏 well spoken. And as you have addressed yes removing evidence based healthcare due to political pressure is a scandal. But why do the others do they the same light? Mesh anyone??? Massively affecting so many women. Also #StopSim is another @hatporter is the best on that

It's also important to remember that while attempted suicide is no longer officially a crime in the UK, many people STILL face charges, fines, anti-social behaviour orders & imprisonment for attempted suicide - & this is supported/ encouraged by mental health services #StopSIM
It’s very good news that she has been freed, however her charge and experience is a stark reminder that #Suicide is still a crime in over 20 countries which inhibits help-seeking behaviour Tori Towey, 28, is subject to a travel ban over alleged charges search.app/vtbFep8LC4TfK3iM7

You're omitting to include the context that this letter was a result of the years of activism from StopSIM and others and was a weak imitation of the full, unpublished policy. Please make sure you appropriately credit survivor work and recognise the real history of this work

Thank you so much, I appreciate your support enormously! I find it so upsetting and frustrating when I have so much to say but struggle to express it properly. It's been a bit too hard digging all the StopSIM stuff up again. I was glad to have bag's support though!

You did utterly amazingly and gave such a profound sense of not only #StopSim but also the power of organising and the costs. A present to the world @hatporter and a real galvaniser to action for the complacent Xx

#StopSIM was one of the most effective, brilliant and necessary survivor activisms with huge cost to all the survivors involved. The Medact report is such a gift not only ensuring it's properly registered in history but inspires in how to stop SIM as it manifests today. Pls read.

It also calls for NHS England to apologise to the StopSIM Coalition and launch an independent inquiry into ongoing SIM-like practices, and for the government to address the social determinants of mental ill-health as well as funding non-coercive, community-based crisis support.

Via @LuckyErica3 It didn't occur to me until I interviewed the StopSIM coalition was how much liability a grassroots campaign takes on when they challenge a bigger private entity. The solidarity of bigger orgs is crucial in keeping up momentum.

You can *say* you don't endorse Oxevision but your actions don't reflect that. It's hurtful that despite them knowing how much distress and harm Oxevision has caused, @Rethink_ have failed to take a clear stance to protect patients

Thank you for this. You've put it so well. @NSUNnews have always been the only mental health org that have actually been there to support us through StopSIM and stopoxevision. The silence from everyone else speaks loudly and hurts deeply. It makes us more vulnerable speaking out

Dear Friends who are utterly drained from carrying resistance movements like #StopSIM and #StopOxevision. What do you need other survivors and professionals to do to carry weight and make sure these things don't happen again? xx (Do ignore if it would cost spoons to say)

Please consider coming to the launch of @Medact's report 'Criminalising Distress' on Friday 26th April, either in person in London or on zoom. #StopSim campaigners, whose extraodinary activism is central to the report, will be there and we'll be exporing SIM as used today. 1/2

NHS England take over a year to respond to my F.O.I. asking for Southern health NHFT'S response to the NHS Emgland #StopSim survey. Their response was that they could not locate it .
