🏆 SWWGL Combined side Goytre AFC lifted the Alun Evans League Cup on Sunday after a dramatic penalty shootout win against Johnstown in Ystrad Mynach. Ffion James fired Goytre ahead with a composed finish into the bottom corner, before goals from Phoebe Davies and Erin Powell had Johnstown ahead in the final moments of the game. However, Amy Doswell's last minute penalty saw the game go to penalties, which Goytre went onto win 6-5 after two saves from goalkeeper Sophie Jenkins, to claim the trophy.

💬 After winning SWWGL Division Three in their first senior season, Ponthir AFC are only just getting started. A young side, with a squad made up of 16 and 17 year olds, there's a lot of potential amongst the Torfaen-based side. Youth squads thriving, with interest from the leagues above, all the way up to the Genero Adran Premier. They're a club to keep an eye on. Listen to our full interview with Owen Palmer and Lilly Price on last week's Adran Leagues Show, via the link below!

📰 SWWGL Combined side Trefelin BGC have appointed seven-time top flight winner Tija Richardson as their new Head Coach. Formerly a key player at Swansea City, Port Talbot Town, Cardiff Met, Cardiff City and Briton Ferry Llansawel, Richardson retired at Ferry last year, a season which saw The Reds finish 2nd in the Genero Adran Premier. The midfielder was also nominated for Player of the Season at the FAW National League Awards after her season with Ferry. Richardson takes the step into tier three of the women's football pyramid as Head Coach of next season's promotion hopefuls Trefelin BGC, who are currently 3rd in SWWGL Combined this season. It's set up to be another competitive season in the division, with the likely additions of Llanelli Town AFC, Haverfordwest County and Llantwit Fardre to the league, alongside several clubs already pushing for Genero Adran Leagues football.
