Q&A with Nathaniel Morgan
2027 WR/TE/DB And track athlete. 200lbs Terre Haute South Vigo Highschool.
What’s a moment from last season that stands out to you?
When we came short of beating Bloomington South in sectionals. The differences in our team were shown compared to the start of the season, we had grown, not just as a team, but as people. Even though the ending wasn’t what we wanted, we still fought through the 4th quarter.
How would you describe your style of play?
Nasty and classy
What was the highlight of the 2025 season?
Beating Columbus North in Columbus for the first time in school history.
Other than your own, which stadium do you enjoy playing in the most?
North Vigo
Which road stadium is the toughest to play in?
Plainfield
Best advice you’ve ever received about playing your position?
“Be Mean” -Coach Brown, when I was a freshman I was scared to get physical, and I always wanted to try and get away instead of facing the opponent head on.
What would it mean to play in the North vs. South All-Star game?
It would be a great honor to represent our team as well as our school in what we are capable of.
What's the best part of being a student-athlete at your school?
Having good mentors.
Favorite part of practice?
My favorite part is when we go into team, it helps a ton to see the plays in action and be able to see the look rather than in Indy.
Has the transfer portal made recruiting tougher for high school players?
Yes, teams don’t need to rely on high schoolers anymore, however there are many opportunities for us to prove ourselves and play at any level.
Favorite sports movie or show?
Remember the Titans
If you could sit down with any athlete for an hour, who would it be?
I would have to say Luke Kuechly, even though I don’t play his position, he is one of the most smartest players to do it. His recognition is like no other, as well as his mindset.
