SecureID Group had the honour of hosting the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR @joduwole, at our world-class tech-manufacturing plant in Lagos, a facility that stands as proof that Africa’s digital and security future is being built right here in Nigeria. Welcomed by Mr. Olumide Onakoya, Chairman of SecureID, and Mrs. Kofo Akinkugbe OON, Founder & Executive Vice Chairman, the Minister engaged with our team on a critical mission: scaling intra-African trade and leveraging the AfCFTA @AfCFTA to position Nigerian innovation on the global stage. SecureID exemplifies what is possible when indigenous enterprise meets visionary policy. We thank the Honorable Minister for her unwavering commitment to enabling an ecosystem where local manufacturers can thrive, export, and win under AfCFTA

SecureID Limited's founder, Kofo Akinkugbe is an African woman blazing a trail that many other Africans will follow because she has exemplified what is possible. Former banker, Kofo Akinkugbe founded SecureID in Nigeria, the first smart card manufacturing unit in the region. Her company is one of the few people in the world to simultaneously hold Visa, Mastercard and GSMA security certifications. Today, the factory produces bank cards, driver's licenses and identity cards in more than 20 African countries. By locating this high-tech on the continent, it has put an end to dependence on Chinese and European imports, securing the personal and banking data of millions of citizens via a 100% African solution.
