💭 Operating System & Hardware thoughts...
Sony need to get back into computers hardware and software!
But with only a small considered selection of premium devices. Not flooding the market with cheap Sony laptops. So in way like Samsung Galaxy have approached it, but maybe with even less products and more desirable.
A Sony product with a Sony badge should really mean something.
The
@Sony brand needs to feel more exclusive, like it did in their heyday.
So a premium Sony laptop line, & a premium Sony consumer headset (separately from PSVR) for mainly movies, TV & live music, (and really harnessing their own Sony Pictures, Sony Music, Sony Pictures Television companies and content!) and they need to especially innovate in a massive way in software & UI design.
Eventually should work towards their own SonyOS for every Sony product.

Ideally Sony devices should be up there with Apple, great & pioneering software & hardware design & architecture combined, for Sony to have full control over an extraordinary and unique customer experience on all Sony products that only Sony can offer.
Sony should gradually move away from Android.
@Sony should generally make less products, but make each more prominent and iconic. Their marketing needs to improve a lot too. Most Sony marketing emails honestly are pretty much like junk mail.
So in the future ideally all Sony devices including PlayStations would run within Sony's own OS, SonyOS.
Meta likely need their own redesigned spatial OS too, and to also move away and have less reliance from Android, (Google) So maybe a MetaOS to go some way to rivalling Apple's visionOS is on the cards?
Google likely building their own new spatial OS either for a spatial Android or Chrome OS becoming spatial. Or both?
And likely Samsung's Apple Vision Pro inspired/targeted premium spatial headset will run on Google software.
Creating your own OS must be the riskiest thing and most expensive thing you could ever attempt even for a big corporation, and is such a long term goal, but imo worth it in the end if it takes off and builds the brand robustly.
