Trying to address Vivi Cauldron with hate cards like these seems futile when they have Winternight Stories, Tersa, FOMO, and Steamcore Scholar to cash in the hated-out card for something more useful.

I like steamcore. TorchTWitness, I was a bit concerned about Prowess growing vivis big, seemed like one of the better "big" removal spell options vs dimir etc since I had 4 scholar I was hesistant to play more 3 drops. but could see Barrage also.

Oh yea adding more mana with vivi is also important. Didn’t have the feeling yet that flying is much more important that haste and sure, you can make actual CA with Steamcore but it’s baffling how often you want to discard the full amount for speed anyway.
