I should have mentioned Warmind Joy/Joyeuse is a bit of speculation based on some lore from Season 1 and some logical bias. More to come as I go back and find the relevant codex entries and lore.
Both Halo and Destiny have gone ahead and had their own versions of Joyeuse.
Destiny had a submind of Rasputin on Io.
Halo, faithful to some old idea about Cortana being made of the same steel as Durandal and Joyeuse, recently brought the weapon into the mythology with naming her Joyeuse.
Which are said to have been forged by angels and such. Real hardcore Catholic mythology and all that jazz.
King Charlemagne was the one that held Joyeuse.
Roland his knight, held Durandal (Excalibur in Arthurian legend - The Sword in the Stone)
Ogier the Dane held Curtana, the Sword of Mercy (one part of the 3 sword set that is one of the UK Royal Family jewels)
Her audio logs post colony collapse seem to imply that she is has been active long after the humans were gone.
She is also a bit rampant like Durandal.
Durandal was secretly programmed to become more than a doorman. Tycho was programmed to be something more than a Science and Engineering AI as we see with his own rampancy. Leela was programmed to be the Marathon Command and Operations AI, her story didn't end in M1 either. She may have been directly influenced by the S'pht attacking the Marathons networks via terminals.
Joy was programmed to be a Wellness and Community support AI. Yet she seems to have been corrupted now by the Anomaly too. Which leads us to question how much of the Strauss programmed rampancy and (in theory for now we will say) her role as a colony defense AI after the remaining Marathon crew had settled in and all come out of Cryo sleep. Perhaps several generations after the colonies founding.

Without your YouTube videos and the rabbithole about the 4th AI and the Cortana Letters, I never would have gotten half of this out of the games lore because there are so many layers to it.
We know who the 4th AI is now btw. It's Joy in new Marathon. It appears Strauss programmed her the same way as Durandal. She was supposed to become the colony defense AI for the entire Tau Ceti star system after they were all settled in. I am still putting that one together for now.

A submind can be simulated in an AI, which will make it to possess low level consciousness, but a mind can't be simulated in an AI. So, an AI can't possess high level consciousness.

Yea they are all real swords. The IRL Durandal (or so the story goes) was embedded in the side of a cliff in France until a few years ago when someone stole it. I swear it wasnt me.
Cortana is part of a three sword set and was used by Ogier the Dane. The IRL inspiration for Master Chief.
The three sword set with Cortana is one of the UK Royal Family Crown Jewels.
Joy is in New Marathon as one New Cascadia's support AI.
Joyeuse is one of Rasputins Sub-Minds in Destiny 2 and is that Submind was located on Io.
Joyeuse is the name of the twin fragment of Cortana that appears to have been created by Halsey. With Cortanas goal (my conjecture) being to merge with the Forerunner/Jarro AI Menicant Bias, after learning of it from the Forerunner/Jarro artifact on Reach

Yeah, that's nonsense to need permission. I envision just hold your finger on a car in the Driving Visualization display and get a pop-up box "Follow?". Have to waste some processing on a submind to keep tabs on that particular vehicle and interact with driver if vehicle lost at light or in congestion. If it is another Tesla then vehicles should share realtime position data and that should require permission but would eliminate broken follows. In a not-too-distant future telematics data sharing between vehicles and infrastructure will become commonplace.
