This number should be higher. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are ripping people off in 2026 for making them pay a subscription to play online. You but their console, you "buy" their game, already pay an ISP, and then you have to pay to play online. Makes no sense.
More than 20,000 Xbox fans are asking Microsoft to remove paid online multiplayer, saying players should not have to pay extra just to play online after already buying a console and games.
A request on Microsoftโs Feedback Portal has received over 20,000 votes, making it one of the most popular requests from Xbox users.
Fans want online multiplayer to be free instead of requiring a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
