but yeah this dte has actually gone from being extremely broken to rock solid in less than 2 years and its kinda cool. system76 has something that i can say i can daily drive (on a machine that can use wayland).

I’m glad to see @system76 stand against age verification.
Exemptions are not the way to go though. No age verification for any platform is.
Age-verification laws designed for iOS & Android are creating headaches for the open-source world, and the Linux community is pushing back.
Our founder, Carl Richell, has been one of the voices engaging directly with lawmakers on this. As he testified before a Colorado House committee: "Open-source software ensures that everyone, regardless of age or background, can learn, experiment, and build at the most fundamental level."
Colorado just passed an open-source exemption, but similar bills are moving in CA, IL, and NY.

There is also one that KDE does have and GNOME does not: Scrolling Speed
I'm not sure why GNOME Devs would not add a support for Scrolling Speed to Computer Mouse and Trackpad.z
But on KDE, Scrolling Speed is there, not just for Mouse but also for Trackpad as well.

For anybody are worried about Legacy X11 Apps Support on Linux with Wayland Only, I noticed that KDE Desktop has an option just like on COSMIC Desktop.
I just want to thank @kdecommunity and @system76 for keeping legacies supported and alive while moving forward to Wayland as long as we need for Linux Gaming.
Speaking of the future of Ubuntu, I found that @kubuntu is an Ubuntu Flavor that includes KDE Plasma Desktop since 2005 and still have been for over 21 years by now.
I was wondering that both @kdecommunity & @system76 do respect our rights in the Linux Community, if so, distros like SteamOS by @valvesoftware will still be able to continue support Steam on Linux in 2026 and beyond, for what is worth, I'm trying out KDE Plasma on Ubuntu 26.04 and it's far better than GNOME 50 and beyond for right now, hopefully @gnome fixes Legacy X11 Support on its GNOME Desktop in a future, or else any Linux Gamers may not be able to use it while using Controllers or use TeamSpeak 3 in a background on their computer, so please continue respecting our fundamental rights while using KDE Plasma version 6.6 and beyond.
This is great to see that KDE supports Legacy background Support for X11 Apps on Wayland (a.k.a: XWayland, of course).
