Ancient Greek fish plates were very popular tableware 2,300 years ago!
They wouldnβt look too out of place on a modern dining table today!

ALT My photo collage shows four ancient Greek βRed-Figureβ ceramic fish plates arranged in a 2Γ2 grid. Each plate is circular with a black glazed background decorated in red with depictions of sea creatures. This gives the impression of looking into an underwater world. Each plate has a circular central depression, perhaps a well used for oil or sauce.
