Patrick is a quiet steedfast Cavalier that leads with a quiet can-do attitude. He finished his freshman year with a cumlative 83.7% GPA and has remained a young man who upholds great character in our community. His courage was rewarded in his first football season by earning the Calvert Football Damar Hamlen Courage Core Value Award. #UncommonGreatness #INAM #THECalvertHigh

Anthawn is a quiet leader who shows up and gets to work. He finished the 4th Quarter with an 80% GPA and regularly attended Calvert Strength and Performance training sessions even while trying a new sport, tennis. He step-up this year and served our community through our Annual Mulch Sale and even earned the 2024 Calvert Football DeMeco Ryans Core Value Consistency Award for his efforts during his freshman season. #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM

Hunter has become a consistent performer, both in the classroom and in the off season. He tried out for a new sport and learned the game of tennis all the while he continued to train through our Calvert Strength and performance program. In one year, he added 50 pounds to his Bench Press, 50 to his Power Clean, 80 to his Squat and 10 inches to his Standing Long Jump. All of that would be impressive but what makes it truly awesome is that he earned an 83.8% cumulative GPA for his freshman year. Stepping up on the field and in the classroom is clearly something Hunter has intentionally bought in to and it has aided in him becoming a really great teammate. #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM

Conor Martin, who is sometimes referred to as Carrot Top, is a blue-collar member of the Calvert Trench Dawgs. In his freshman year, he graciously took to coaching, went to work, and had a great season in which he led his teammates with inspiring effort playing almost the entirety of each game. His efforts earned the 2024 James Harrison Commitment Award. He continued to excel and showed great effort in the classroom as well and finished the school year after four quarters with an 82.8% cumulative GPA. Meanwhile, he has made over 86% of all the off-season Calvert Strength and Performance workouts since March of his 8th grade year. That means he made more than 75 training sessions since March of 2024. His consistent commitment to improving through his training has resulted in a 205 lb. Bench Press, 185 lb. Power Clean and 330 lb. Squat during our spring testing period. All of that would be impressive for any freshmen, but his “all-in” mindset has led to him being a huge help with this year’s annual mulch sale and he has also made a great impact in leading some of our 8th grade bridge program work outs during this past spring. #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM

Kam, in only his freshman season, filled in and played quarterback, running back and wide receiver, which demonstrated his team first mindset. Family and team first is the code Kam lives by, and it shows up in his performance on and off the field. He finished the 4th Quarter with an 86%, long jumped 95 inches, had a lifting total for the bench press, power clean, and squat of 620 lbs. and stepped up while dealing with the difficult loss of his mother to help the Cavaliers to a 7v7 tournament championship at Georgetown University. Kam is a great young man, and his love for others makes Calvert Football a better program. #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM

With fireworks and music, we have to celebrate a great finish for our program. With the incredible effort from our senior leaders, the support from our SAAST Team and of course the hard work of our Cavaliers in the program, we have 37 of the 58 returning players on the honor roll! Our program average was an 82.65%! So proud of our guys and their effort is indicative of the great things to come! #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #HonorRoll #INAM

Nathan is a Cavalier team favorite! When it comes to spontaneity and humor, you can count on Nate to deliver. Everyone absolutely loves his infectious positivity and charm. In addition to being a great teammate in our football program, he also bowled and played bocce in his first year at Calvert High. He also made time to participate in our off-season training programs through Calvert Strength and Performance. Senior teammate, Tyson Daniel-Thompson says that ‘Nathan regularly reminds him that while lifting weights that, “I can feel myself getting stronger!”’ When he is not emersed in all things Calvert high, you will find Nate involved in Boy Scouts and/or playing baseball. Even with his incredibly busy schedule he has been able to maintain an 89.2% cumulative GPA. Another one of Nathan’s teammates, Derrick Jones, sent this thought as encouragement to Nate, “A true Cavalier, battles adversity every moment and always finds a way to come out on top.” #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM

Let us be proud for a minute. We are the 2025 Georgetown University Football Hoya 7v7 Showcase Champions. We came on top after completing the day with a 6-0-1 record, scoring 131 points and only allowed 87 over nineteen other teams. The nineteen teams included six private schools, and two 7v7 all-star teams. We faced nothing but the best from teams on our schedule, but our Cavaliers found something extra and finished on top. Pool Play Summary: Game 1: We tied 14-14 with Ron Brown High School. Game 2: We win 14-0 over Long Island Verified 7on7. Game 3: We win 31-14 over Mount Vernon High School. Bracket Play (seeded fourth out of nineteen) Game 4: In a rematch we won 14-7 over Mount Vernon High School. Game 5: We win on the last drive after we successfully go for two twice and end the last drive with an interception to take the lead and win 26-24. Game 6: We score and go up 17-14 and hold DeMatha High School out of the endzone on their last effort long ball. Game 7: We score in the closing seconds of the game and get the two-point conversion after regulation to win 15-14 over Mt. Zion Prep. But here is the real story. Our squad featured only three rising seniors, and one who had never played a down for Calvert high. We had five rising juniors, three rising sophomores and one rising freshman. Our Cavaliers played both ways, they sometimes played out of position, and they were beyond exhausted in the end, BUT they never gave in, and they battled like true warriors. We played with tremendous grit and overcame a great deal to finish on top; however, this is just the start. Our players gave their all for each other, and this conviction proved to be the greatest difference maker on the day. This will prove to be the beginning of what it will be. #UncommonGreatness #THECalvertHigh #INAM
