JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY This evening I am privileged to host a pannel of three distinguished lawyers to discuss the great questions of the day in criminal justice system. We will extensively discuss public prosecutions in relation to a right to a fair hearing. Specifically, we will look at the conviction and sentence of Hon. Agness Nandutu as to whether it has indeed delivered justice and accountablity. The pannel will also discuss the mobile trial of Okello Christopher who is accused of unlawful killing of 4 minors at a day care in Ggaba. Questions on fairness and equality before the law in these criminal processes will be answered with a focus on what some analysts have called political prisoners on one hand, and the DPP has called them Ugandans under the normal criminal legal processes on the other.
