People say they have had 80 years to destroy us and because they haven’t, they must be here to help us. But they have had 80 years to help us too: cure cancer, solve the climate crisis, bring an end to war. What have they physically done to demonstrate a positive intent?

The non-human, alien intelligence operating in our world has had 80 years to disclose their activities and their intent. They haven't don't so.
Therefore, we should never consider them as a "neutral player" in the disclosure effort.
