My main problem with Neoplatonism is that I dont agree with drawing a distinction between the Demiurge and the One I would say the eternal forms which the Demiurge modeled the universe from are his own divine thoughts This interpretation of Timaeus seems more logical to me

Our Focal Scripture speaks of blind Bartimaeus, who was the son of Timaeus. Like we earlier observed, the name ‘Timaeus’ means ‘honour’. So, Bartimaeus was the son of ‘Honour’, but he ended up blind, and consequently, became a beggar. Someone who ought to be surrounded by honour, descended to blindness and further down to begging. The already battered destiny of Bartimaeus was being reduced from blindness to begging. Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your destiny will not be reduced. You will not move from honour to dishonour. You will not move from high places to low places. You will not move from privileged places to unprivileged places. You will not move from being advantaged to being disadvantaged. You will not move from being the favoured one to being disfavoured. You will not go down the perking order. Good to hear. Timaeus is one of my favourite dialogues by Plato. It will definitely be covered eventually.

You're easier to hear for sure but it didn't hurt really. The philosophy of the story, the humanising moment in particular was/is the most interesting aspect. Will the Timaeus and Critias be one to cover? I adore that piece of work.

Plato did not abandon the forms tho. Plato doubles down on the reality of the forms in his later writings(after The Parminedes) such as the Timaeus.
