RICO Abreu on his second place finish with the High Limit Racing series at Grandview:
"Just an amazing race car. Hats off to my team. I've got Ricky Warner on the spinners there. Todd Devnich, Brady Forbrook, Zack Middlebrooks, my friend Brandon's here tonight, Toby does an unbelievable job, my wife selling all the merch. Amazing race fans!
This Tony Stewart team is getting their mojo back and getting some momentum in this car. It's just great to drive something that's got grip this time of year. And I really enjoy that. Just dissecting these races, following Reutzel, and it was really fun to navigate that race. I really enjoyed it. Just to try to time those bottom exits where he couldn't see me. Just a lot of tactical thinking there. I love processing that stuff. ...
Everybody associated with Tony Stewart Racing does an unbelievable job just pumping us up to come to the race track and I'm going to get to the trailer and have a nice Sugar Bee Apple next."
On his battle with Reutzel and losing the lead due to a red flag, Rico said, "You have to stay really calm. I think that that's one thing I've learned as a race car driver. And just understand how these races play out. So, obviously, it showed Aaron the preferred line and his car just gets to the center so well and he's getting such great track position.
But I don't want to forget to talk about our friends the Tiner family. They lost Johnny Tiner yesterday. The Tiners have been the pioneers of sprint car racing in California and our hearts are with them this week."
