Done the Snowflake Fall Challenge 1 and 2 from this playlist (youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…), also paired my micro:bit with my phone and performed a test by flashing a sample code

Microsoft Research did a Windows phone app called touchdevelop to program on your phone. It had a phone optimized UI and you barely had to use the keyboard.
Sadly they transformed it into a web app then pulled the plug on it a few years ago

@TouchDevelop was the closest thing I saw, but now long dead.

There was a web native app from Microsoft Research called TouchDevelop, which was eventually killed off in favor of a Scratch-like<->JS mix (MakeCode). Can still find plenty of images/videos of it, I think the idea of a "custom keyboard" with completions was really good.

富豪的っていうのは仰るとおりですね。 cloud variable に関しては、TouchDevelopが専用のプログラミング言語とエディタを備えた教育用途の開発環境だったからできた試みだったのだろうと思います。実開発では、エラーハンドリングみたいな実用面でも必要になる計算資源面でも、考えることが多いです。

暴力的なまでの shared memory にしておいて、使う側が気をつければいいじゃん、というかエラー忘却型でいいじゃん、という割り切りはいいっすね。「富豪的」みたいないいキャッチフレーズを与えてあげたい。
