No one should be forced to co-parent with their rapist. Too often, when a sexual assault results in the birth of a child, perpetrators are able to gain parental rights to that child, tying the survivor to their rapist for at least 18 years. The California Senate just unanimously passed S.B. 1364 to change that, allowing more survivors to terminate their perpetrators' parental rights to keep themselves and their children safe.
