Two Arrested after Armed Robbery in Union County. Recently, deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery near Parkwood High School. Detectives assigned to the Violent Crime Unit (VCU) launched an investigation after the victim was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint while attempting to purchase marijuana vape products. Through the investigation, detectives identified Jayden Watts and Courtney Massey Jr. as suspects in the incident. Arrest warrants were obtained for both individuals. With assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, detectives developed a possible address for Watts in Monroe. Members of the Sheriff’s Office VCU and SHIELD Unit, along with the Monroe Police Department ACE Unit, conducted surveillance at the location. Later that evening, ACE units conducted a vehicle stop on a car leaving the residence and successfully arrested Watts. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department VCAT Unit, working with NCSBI, located and arrested Massey in north Charlotte. VCU detectives then took custody of Massey and transported him back to Union County. Jayden Watts and Courtney Massey Jr. are being held under a No Bond currently and are being housed at the Union County Detention Center. This case highlights the importance of working together as a team and the continued commitment to removing violent offenders from the community. @UnionCoSheriff @UnionCountyNC @NCACP @NCCourts

You should be ashamed of your Employee Gene Stowe for berating, bullying and cussing out a young lady. What an immature pea brain. @EnquirerJournal

You're pure scum!

I’m putting this person on alert. Gene Stowe with the @EnquirerJournal. You don’t mess with my family. Today I took my daughter who loves the election process to the library to help pass out materials for candidates that she believes in and she wants to help support. Gene Stowe, a long time writer for the Enquire Journal who still is contracted by them got out of his car and as my daughter approached him and said, “Can I give you these things to consider?“ He saw what she was handing him and pointed directly to me about 5 feet away (I didn’t approach him) and he cussed her out and said if they’re anything like him then no and proceeded to use profanities to my 14-year-old. It made her upset and cry. He left without any remorse and even justified it because of what he thinks Trump has done to kids. WHAT?! Politics is brutal. But this also proves it brings out the worst in people. Granted, he probably didn’t know it was my daughter and he might not like my politics, but to even have the lack of class and self-control, specifically from an individual who’s written for so long, to be that careless with words he used towards a young child is sickening and abhorrent. I wonder what the The Enquirer-Journal thinks about you cussing out children? Absolutely no class sir and complete filth. By the way, this is my daughter, Vinleigh. I’m so stinking proud of who she is and the woman she will become. 👇👇👇

Beyond disgusting. Infantile and vicious. He probably uses the “I’m educated” mantra to convince himself that he is superior to other mere humans. WTH?!
