Good for you to make out well and it was fun to participate in the IPO on a teeny scale. Your story reminds of when I was at a party in SF in about 2000 and someone pointed out one of the early employees of some startup called "google" that was supposed to go big and I told her it was the stupidest thing ever because how could a search engine be better than aol, alta vista or webcrawler and scoffed and the circle of people around him.
