🧨⚠️ Alerta en Minecraft: un malware en mods ya infectó a más de 116 mil computadoras.
Según un informe de McAfee, el malware se llama WeedHack. No es un software malicioso común, sino una plataforma que permite crear o infectar mods y distribuirlos a través de páginas falsas de mods de Minecraft o de otras redes sociales.
Desde enero de 2026, se estima que entre 2,000 y 3,000 jugadores son infectados cada día. El malware roba datos personales sensibles, además, permite controlar la cámara y la pantalla.

活動開始は2026年1月、McAfeeの調査で明らかになった。
無料プランだけで36種のブラウザからパスワードを抜き取り、月額約800円を払えばウェブカメラの遠隔操作まで手に入る。
利用者の多くは10代。被害者のカメラで撮った映像をTelegramに「戦利品」として投稿する行為も確認されている。
MODを入れるという行為が、見知らぬ人のプログラムを自分のPCで実行することと同義だという認識は、まだ広まっていない。

Minecraftプレイヤーを標的とするMalware-as-a-Service「Weedhack」の活動が確認された。偽のMinecraft MODやクライアントを通じて配布され、認証情報の窃取、暗号資産ウォレットの窃取、アカウント乗っ取り、遠隔操作機能を提供している。活動は少なくとも2026年1月から続いている。
PolySwarmによると、Weedhackは改ざんされたJARファイルを人気のMinecraftクライアントやMODとして配布する。実行されるとjavaw.exe経由で動作し、設定情報を読み込んだ後、Ethereumブロックチェーン上のスマートコントラクトを利用してC2サーバー情報を取得する仕組みを備えている。
調査では3,820件以上の不正JARファイルと240件以上の配布URLが確認された。また、32件のJSON-RPCエンドポイントも特定されている。
マルウェアはWindows Defenderの除外設定を試みた後、ブラウザーの認証情報やCookie、Discordトークン、SteamやTelegramの認証情報、Minecraftセッション情報などを窃取する。
有料プランではキーロガー、画面共有、ファイル管理、リバースシェル、Webカメラ監視などの遠隔操作機能も利用できる。
攻撃者はMeteor Client、Aristois、LiquidBounce、Impact Clientなどの人気MODやクライアントを装ったサイトを運営しており、ダッシュボードには11万6,000件以上の感染実績が表示されていたという。
