People often ask whether it bothers me to write speeches that someone else ultimately delivers as their own.
The answer is no.
Because executive speechwriting, at its best, is not about authorship. It is about translation.
The work is listening deeply, thinking strategically, and shaping ideas into language that is clear, resonant, and aligned with both the moment and the mission.
In higher education especially, executive communication carries institutional consequence.
That is what resonates. That is where I find meaning.
