Try converting it to a text file yourself first. It seems that most LLMs automatically convert PDFs to text now (based on me asking what contents they see when uploading a pdf), but there are multiple techniques converters can use for tables and stuff, and some look better than others depending on the PDF's formatting. I like "pdftotext" which can be found here included in the "Xpdf command line tools" download: xpdfreader.com/download.html Then you can try using various parameters and see what looks best. I usually always include the layout parameter and UTF-8 encoding, so the command looks like: pdftotext.exe -layout -enc "UTF-8" WhateverInput.pdf If there are lots of tables you can use the "-table" parameter which might work better, but seems to add extra spacing elsewhere. There's a bunch of other possible options too.
