prismaで感じていた違和感って、型は効くんだけどその代わりJS/TS的なオブジェクトの考え方になり、ActiveRecord型と比べると冗長でわかりづらいコードになったり、規約をそれなりに頑張らないとわりととっ散らかるところなんだな、と思ったりした。drizzleとかも自ずとそうなるのでトレードオフっぽい

ポスグレ移行は、activerecord-multi-tenant RLSの二重防御の果実はデカいけど、Rails環境での型変更（datetime精度、json→jsonb、collation .etc）は挙動だいぶ変わるから検証相当大変だろうな...
特に親子クラスのSTI対応は、駆け出し時代かなり苦められた🤦♂️

本番稼働中のMySQLをPostgreSQLに丸ごと載せ替える。
しかも目的は「マルチテナント化のためのRow Level Security」一点。ここまで腹を括れる判断はなかなかできない。
経営目線で見ると、この移行が示す本質は3つあると思う。
①セキュリティをアプリ層だけに任せない。
RLSをDB層に置く「二重防御」は、テナント間の情報漏洩という最悪のリスクを構造で潰す発想。
②移行手段に専用ツールではなくActiveRecord経由を選んだ割り切り。
時間的制約の中で「完璧」より「確実に通る道」を取る判断は、現場を預かる人間の感覚だ。

Day 1 of @PGDATA2026 🔥
One of the internal resistances I faced when considering attending PG DATA 2026 was imposter syndrome.
Almost 20 years in engineering, along with experience working with Rails 1.x, when the imperfections of ActiveRecord and my limited knowledge of it forced me to fall back to raw SQL from time to time, defined the foundation that allowed me to understand the basics and explore deeper topics in detail.
