It's really hard to build a community. The only one I've been successful at is around the small
#AdventOfCode leaderboard group, which is active for about 2 months of the year.
To accomplish something, what you need is:
1. A very specific topic that draws potential users in. "Digital creators" is so broad that it might include almost everyone. Most people are trying to become more niche. What segment of digital creators do you want to gather?
2. A broad appeal. "Blair County" sounds like a very specific location that doesn't apply to many people. I already feel like an outsider and I haven't even joined. 😆
3. A distinct value proposition. What are people going to expect to gain from being part of the group? Will they learn new skills, find people who can answer questions, etc? Most often this is guided by the leader of the community, who is sharing these very things on social media.
Last point: I'm likely a small Discord user, and am part of too many servers already (I'm leaving more than joining right now). It will take a lot of effort to get someone to click that button to join yours.
