还真是。今天正好准备周五的 PPT，在故纸堆里发现了 2023 年 ApacheCon Asia 的讲稿。
当时还是 Apache OpenDAL (incubating) 而且我还把社群多样性的发展当成一个很好的样例来引用和宣传。现在已经细雨无声仿佛本就该如此了。
good old days ，3 年后再读这篇文章又是不同的感受。
23 年的时候 OpanDAL 刚进入孵化器孵化，我在一年多的全职开源工作之后重返校园。
3 年后，我有幸提名 ASF Member ，创建并维护的开源项目月下载量超过 10M ，也拥有了第一个自己创建和设计的 GitHub 千⭐项目。
尽管我大多在拥有知名开源项目的公司工作，但开源其实很难成为工作的重心，精力往往是要投入在公司项目的产出和商业化目标。
但对开源的热心或者那些夜里来敲门的思绪会不停作响，使得我不能以一般兴趣看待开源，往往在业余时间做到深夜三四点。
我并非码力过人之辈，大多数时间也并不真的会因为投入而有什么显著的产出，倘若要说，Linus 那句 “Just for fun” 或许是真的要算的，然后就是日复一日的坚持以及偶尔难得的责任心或者灵感上身。
感谢从第一天参与开源到现在认识的每个朋友，以及加入的每一个公司。尽管旅途可能并不会十全十美，对开源的投入和热爱大多有赖众位。

fixed real infra bugs, rewrote docker networking, contributed across multiple modules, got acknowledged by apache pmc, submitted a talk to apachecon, helped with community outreach.
did everything i could. it still wasn't enough.
hurts. but i'll be back.

Throwback to Fall 1998 when I attended ApacheCon in San Francisco. Science fiction author Bruce Sterling was a keynote speaker and as a big fan of his work, I asked for a photo with him. Sadly, his work got so increasingly woke in the years after I couldn't stomach it.

Had a great time speaking at @TheASF 's conference #CommunityOverCode, Denver (formerly ApacheCon).
My talk on Apache Local Community was well received, with many attendees expressing interest in joining this initiative.
A special thanks to the volunteers at Apache Local Community Indore, where we launched the first ALC. Today, we have 10 ALCs across the globe, and it's all possible thanks to the incredible dedication of volunteers worldwide!
