Happy Birthday. My Uncle lives in Arnside and is usually on his tractor

Went to Arnside in Cumbria for my Birthday today. I’ve not been for about 25 years, but my Grandpa used to bring me here to fish for plaice. So many nice memories here of him and my Nan - especially him bashing the heads of the fish on the railing when we caught one 😂🙈 Also spotted a very nice S1 E-type and an E220 Cabrio. The E Type sounded superb!!! 👌

Severn was built by Crossfields, who once among the leading builders of Morecambe Bay Prawners and yachts, with a history stretching from the 1840s to the 1940s. Bought by bought by Arnside Sailing Club to preserve a piece of the village’s boatbuilding heritage.

They don’t really know why the 23 foot racing sailing yacht sank in the Mersey so there is a little jeopardy going on board & sailing again. Added in the dangers of Morecambe Bay and the bore rapid tides in Arnside. Severn is a beauty. ⛵️⚓️
