Atlanta peaked in 1996. They cleaned everything up for the Olympics, OutKast "Atliens" came out. Atlanta remained on the top culturally for years afterwards but were always running on steam and everything, like trap music, was downstream of this one moment and the culture was outpaced by the gentrification and now Atlanta just kinda sucks, which I hate to admit.
