A developer actively building on Bitfinity? You largely write Solidity… But did you know the Solidity recently released Solidity 0.8.35? Here are some new changes you should know about: πŸ“ Built-in erc7201 Function Now, erc7201 is a reserved keyword function name. It was introduced to better avoid storage slot collisions in complicated proxy and upgrade architectures like Diamond. With this, developers can confidently and safely build advanced lego with much lower risks of the storage colliding. πŸ“ Fixing Stack-too-deep with Low-level Code Generator Have you ever tried compiling or testing a large codebase and ran into stack-too-deep? The team made another headway in fixing this. Using a more granular backend, the compiler can now handle the error more gracefully and also faster than before. πŸ“Formalizing Experimentation There have been a good number of experimental Solidity features that is accessible to every developer. The issue, however, has been that some developers didn’t know they had opted in for an unstable release. On this note, the experimental feature was created, so developers can set them to true in their settings. Out of all these releases, which one excites you the most?πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»

If you’ve been industry for some years now, you will agree that DeFi in early 2025 is not the same has today. The tides have changed a bit, and you as a builder has to be abreast of how things are moving. In the latest @WalletConnect State of DeFi report, here are a couple of things to keep in mind as you build: β˜‘οΈ The Yield Economy is Growing Back in the days, users would only have tokens lie fallow in their wallets. But that has changed with a more rapid adoption of yield protocols. According to the report, Liquid Staking alone accounted for $3.2 billion liquidity across the industry. Now, there is a need to refine the existing products to further find product-market fit. β˜‘οΈ The Bitcoin and Ethereum Networks are Anchoring Liquidity According to the report, Ethereum and Bitcoin have $92.2 billion and $7.7 billion in active DeFi liquidity. If not anything, this shows there are still a lot of Bitcoin not in active DeFi participation. This is an opportunity for builders to build Bitcoin products with unique use cases on Bitfinity What is your main takeaway from this report?πŸ€” PS: Not a financial advice.

The issue is in using Internet Identity x.com/dgdg_app/status/203577… There is nothing Bitfinity can do from their end because chrome-extension paths are inadvertantly blocked until Dfintiy fixes II.

For those that can't log in to Bitfinity Wallet with Internet Identity: I believe the issue is that the regular expression check Internet Identity uses (for domain names) doesn't work for the event.origin of a postMessage sent from a chrome-extension (like Bitfinity Wallet). Currently, the handshake for II only works with addresses like "nns.ic0.app", and will fail with something like "chrome-extension://[UNIQUE_APP_ADDRESS]".

So if we only signed into @bitfinity_w via II (legacy) are we now not able to access our wallets? Can the dev's do something? Are there even any of the Bitfinity wallet devs left in the eco? *Asking for a friend... maybe...

Some years back, the outputs of LLMs for complex tasks were mid at best. βœ… Goodnews? They’ve progressed faster and can now handle complex software engineering tasks. As a Bitcoin developer in 2026, you need to have the right toolset of specialize agents for your operations. πŸ“ High-stakes Agents Some tasks require an enormous amount of speciality and accuracy. For example, hunting criticals on a cross-chain protocol with 20k SLOC is a lot of work. Therefore, in this case you need the 'brains' from AI models optimised for precision, reasoning, and deep understanding. Per data, Opus 4.6 is seeming to be one of the most performing models in this context. πŸ“ Speed Agents Capacity is a good feature, but speed is sometimes more important; it’s better when a model has capacity and is speedy. Any model that hallucinates or takes long to output answers becomes counter-productive, and this is where speed matters as well. According to data from Artificial Analysis, the gpt-oss family, both 20B and 120B, are the current speed champions with an OTPS of 311 and 307 respectively. Following closely are Gemini 3 Flash and Nemotron 3 Nano, each with 207 OTPS. Many Bitfinity builders are shipping faster with these models. Which one is your best at the moment?πŸ€”
