I've seen a few people report that and bugchecks, though I haven't encountered that myself

Bluescreens are logged as BugChecks. Hard shutdowns with the power button are logged as Kernel-Power events.

Data analysis, spreadsheet formulas, bugchecks etc.. totally fine. Any form of Gen AI is fundamentally theft and has no future in gaming. Especially the open models which use the internet. And most likely some big infringement lawsuit will completely demolish Gen AI and we wonโ€™t even be having this debate in the future.

one silver lining is the ISP-provided box still works if I connect to it except when I do PPPoE to it, Windows instantly bugchecks... on npcap....

Severe performance loss, stuttering and IRQL bugchecks can be caused by an outdated thunderbolt driver for your motherboard especially with EasyAntiCheat games. That's how i solved @JeggzR6 R6 issues. Update your BIOS and use the latest firmware / drivers for any other devices like thunderbolt ports or USB controllers.

I know #WindowsInsiders will be asking - no Canary flight this week. We discovered a bad bug that is causing a lot of bugchecks which we don't want to flight with. Thankfully we already have a fix for next week. No Dev or Beta either, hopefully early next week.

ive helped with voluntary tech support in a discord server for a while and the main theme of some problems that aren't vague bugchecks are 1. people dont know how to google 2. people lose the ability to know how to read when presented with an error message

Royale was the best theme. But that OS wasn't the most awesome. I do not miss all those memory exception dialogs and bugchecks. Or the 87 Windows Updates that, after you rebooted, showed 33 more, that after you rebooted from them, showed 12 more, that after you rebooted... etc.

To be fair, the update is causing bugchecks in Windows while macOS and Linux systems with CS Falcon agents remain operable. This is a kernel mode drivers issue, uniquely a Windows issue, and far more needs to be done to remove these driver types AND make Windows more resilient.

Shoutout to Storage Spaces Direct for recovering without a blip during this @CrowdStrike fiasco. #S2D so far has been rock-solid on recovering from the bugchecks.

If you're a gamer you better disable updates and wait. This update puts dev and canary on basically the same build (for now) and has specific warnings that some games may cause bugchecks.

See the blog post for details. Some popular games don't work or cause bugchecks at launch. It's nice to hear you're not having issues with games in Canary but many others will.

Engineering 10,752 cores and all the amazing end to end feats of this GPU.. and some armchair EE put's this on your flagship? Holy shit balls! Also, fuck you for the last 6 months of stress crashes ๐Ÿคฆ They replaced the card and sent a new one of these power combiners with it, I didn't replace it cause well, I thought it was the card. Another month of crashes and I continue looking for OS bugs. I become suspect of the motherboard firmware and decide on a new PC build using only this card from the old machine. Dumbfounded it keeps crashing, so I dig deeper into the OS and the black hole of the video driver when I'm like hmmm, funny that nVidia put that cable in the box with the replacement card, maybe they knew๐Ÿ‘€There's nothing visibly wrong with the connector but.. #itwasntwindows Hardware induced intermittent failures and BSOD/bugchecks/blackscreens are THE BIGGEST unsolved problem in the modern-day PC reliability ecosystem. /endrant Happy Friday and thanks for coming to my TED talk!
