My friend just moved to Caistor, we visited today. Look at this just a five minute walk from her house 😍 There are Linnets, Skylarks, Yellowhammers, loads of other birds and even a Kingfisher by a beck. Just gorgeous!

Did my favourite local walk this afternoon. A couple of miles around the meadows at Caistor St Edmund accompanied by the sound of pure joy - the song of skylarks.

Caistor took a bus load to that one. Crates of ale and a raucous day. Possibly my first big away day.

She had taken a course through an unswept area. 15 of her ship’s company crew were sadly lost. Just 3 survivors were picked up by the Caistor Lifeboat.
