Haushaltsloch: Die Stadt Hainichen erwartet ein Defizit von mehr als 1,6 Millionen Euro. Gleichzeitig fallen die Fördermittel für den Hochwasserschutz von ursprünglich 90 Prozent auf nur noch 75 Prozent der Gesamtkosten von rund sechs Millionen Euro.
Folgen: Mehrere Investitionen wurden gestoppt. Betroffen sind unter anderem die Sanierung der Oberschule, die Modernisierung des Rathauses, die Stadtbibliothek, das Sportlerheim Riechberg sowie verschiedene Infrastrukturprojekte im Stadtgebiet.
Immer mehr Kommunen geraten finanziell unter Druck und müssen notwendige Investitionen aufschieben.
