Locally assembled Isuzu NQR 33-seater buses were today flagged off to strengthen operations at Voi Safari Lodge (Tsavo East) and Ngulia Safari Lodge (Tsavo West) under Kenya Safari Lodges & Hotels (KSLH), a subsidiary of KDC.
Flagged off at Isuzu East Africa’s Mombasa Road assembly plant, the buses will enhance staff mobility and guest transfers across the expansive Tsavo ecosystem, boosting operational efficiency and elevating visitor experience at two iconic safari destinations.
The milestone supports KSLH’s modernization and turnaround agenda, reinforcing efforts to drive sustainable tourism, conservation-led development, and destination competitiveness.
Deployment of locally assembled buses advances the Buy Kenya, Build Kenya agenda while supporting local manufacturing and skills development.
The flag-off signals renewed momentum in KSLH’s transformation journey and confidence in Kenya’s tourism growth trajectory.
