#OG A Run of the Mill Gangster Drama that is technically strong and has a few solid elevation blocks, but the rest is mundane!
The first half of the film is satisfactory. Despite the drama moving in a flat way, it manages to build intrigue. The intro and interval block are well done. However, the 2nd half doesn’t engage much and is filled with impactless elevation blocks. It also gets confusing at times due to too many characters and subplots.
The biggest issue in the film is that almost every scene feels like an elevation, with not much happening and without a proper build up. While Sujeeth excels in delivering fan service moments, he wasn’t able to build a compelling drama or incorporate proper emotions.
PK’s presence stands out in the film, and he is presented in his best way in recent times. Thaman is the biggest asset and the life of the movie. His music carries the film in many moments. The cinematography is solid as well.
It ends up being pure fan service with a half baked narrative. Just OK!
