Pete Carroll shares why grit and competing are the great equalizers - and why you control more than you think. "This thing about grit's real. It is about competing. It is about pushing yourself. It is about striving to be at your best." "Nobody else controls this but you. You are in control of this. You are the one that has the power to make yourself as valuable as you can be." Then he called out the wrong mindset: "There's a lot of kids complaining about there not being enough good jobs." "They don't get it. It isn't about the quality of the job. It's about the quality of the job you do." "You go into that workplace - regardless of where you start - and show them they can't operate without you. Because you work too hard. Because you care too much. Because you're gonna do the little things." That's creating and being in control of your own destiny. Nobody gives you value. You create it. Outwork the job. Outwork the role. Outwork the expectations. It always starts with what you're willing to do. (🎥TheLeapTV )

In some states, yes. Other states run by deranged leftists, maybe not. If these”migrants” can carry knives, you should be allowed to carry guns. They are such great equalizers.

The UFC is the most popular, most-watched sparring event requiring the highest skill, strength and endurance, but what do ordinary rednecks Kyle Rittenhouse, John Grismore and Sean Grayson all have in common? Three more rednecks that can't fight political enemies w/o equalizers.

These cheap weaponized drones are our biggest challenge right now. IEDs in Iraq and Afghanistan proved to be brutally effective. Similarly these drones are game changing equalizers for non state actors. Both thrive on extreme cost asymmetry. Dirt cheap readily available threats that deliver outsized casualties. We can no longer assume there are safe areas like FOBs and fortified bases. They are forcing us into wildly expensive countermeasures. This new generation warfare has flipped the battlefield toward relentless attrition and persistence and is sidelining decisive technological superiority. Despite all of our current efforts these threats remain largely unmitigated. They are rewriting the economics of modern conflicts. We need something that will either reliably mitigate them or we need some new approaches to defense. Without it our battlefields will be meat grinders and we can no longer rely on technological or force size superiority.

Three architectures, three mechanical types: • Concentrators (brittle): narrow therapeutic window, rapid fracture when threshold exceeded • Equalizers (ductile): wide window, energy absorbed through redistribution • Distributors (intermediate): many paths, individually thin Your architecture determines your fracture mechanics.
