gBase friends ) X402 is the protocol that has caused quite a stir over the past year. For years, APIs were monetized through accounts, API keys, dashboards, subscriptions, minimum balances, Stripe, invoices, and custom billing logic. This works for people, but not so much for agents ( Thanks to x402, APIs for AI agents are turning into paid resources. An Agent can understand: What does this endpoint do? How much does a single call cost? Which network accepts payment? Which asset should be used to pay? Can I pay and get the result immediately? And if the answer is “yes,” the agent can take action 😎 x402 has become a Discovery layer. While developing my own oracle on x402 and listing it on platforms like x402 Bazaar / Agentic Market and x402scan, I was amazed by the sheer variety of products already built around. And the undisputed market leader where x402 is actively used by agents is @base Millions of transactions. Over 75 million transactions and a total volume of over $24 million. That’s at least 65% more than its closest competitor, Solana.x402. Why such a huge gap? It’s simple: Base is essentially built from the ground up for x402. The best facilitator is Coinbase CDP (free for the first 1,000 transactions/month, then $0.001, with KYC/OFAC checks and fee-free settlement on the Base mainnet). A (the main directory of x402 services for agents) was launched by Coinbase on Base. Strong network effect and ecosystem > Coinbase AgentKit, embedded wallets, CDP—all optimized for Base x402. > x402 Bazaar / Agentic Market indexes tens of thousands of resources, and x402scan already tracks merchants, resources, wallets, transactions, and payment activity within the x402 ecosystem. If your API returns correct metadata, a valid 402 response, and clear endpoint descriptions, agents and marketplaces can find it automatically. And one of my oracle services is exactly like that 😌 A perfect example of an x402 service: machine -readable, needed by agents for recurring calls, and self-sustaining 😊 Build On Base and Stay Based 🙌 #base #based

Underrated—see for yourself. Base may not pay as much attention to on-chain metrics as some people assume, but a few things would definitely stand out: Using Base App is the most obvious one. The fees are too high for it not to rank first, but I personally would not use it—it is about 1% per swap. Providing liquidity (LP). Lending and borrowing. Deploying a contract is no longer a meaningful signal, so I would not recommend spending time on that. Holding assets on Base, especially recognized assets. Genuinely using the chain—for example, interacting with dapps, especially recognized ones with verifiable contracts. gbase.
