Hack4FUTO is the biggest student hackathon in Southeast Nigeria, bringing together builders, developers, designers, founders, and technology enthusiasts to learn, collaborate, and build solutions that matter. More than just a competition, it serves as a launchpad for the next generation of student innovators, giving students access to mentorship, hands on experience, and opportunities to turn ideas into real products. A little backstory. Some of the OG Solana builders in the Nigerian ecosystem got started simply because they were curious and wanted to explore something they found exciting. What began as fun eventually turned into shipping products, contributing to the ecosystem, and, for lack of a better phrase, rawdogging the Solana ecosystem through its early days. At the time, many of us were student builders. People like @a_ix_d, @starlingroot, and @_thewuh, to mention a few, were all students when they started building. Today, many of them have graduated and gone on to do incredible things within the ecosystem. Now we’re seeing the same story unfold again in this university. Builders like @HeIsJoel0x, arguably the number one @solanamobile builder around, alongside @ubadinekethedev, @heisdave7 and several others, are carrying the torch forward. They are all students from the same school, proving that great builders can emerge from anywhere when given the right environment. This time, we’re not just giving student builders a chance. We’re creating a platform that helps them find fellow builders, collaborate, learn, and ship on Solana together. If you’re a student at FUTO, this is a no-brainer. Come build with us.
