i understand your pov. i moved past the showrunner's 7 months-off-screen narrative choice. irl that is enough time to build a close friendship. some date or marry in less time. if they have more scenes, i'm curious to see how alice and max continue to talk & listen to one another

I don't agree with this being forced. She dated Nick in 1999. She has been with Noah the longest and chose to remain long-distance with him. This is normie young adults navigating & sharing feelings. They may not be on the same page but they'll at least know and can move on
