When the game goes under like Magicka, you will only have yourself to blame. You are cco. It is your job to keep tabs on everything going on in your department but you have no idea what is going on. Please also wear your baseball cap properly.
What about you fucking go to the point, address the mountain of issues the more critical part of your community has raised time and time again. You are the king of vagueposting. Balance the game so its fun to shoot, make stratagems not bounce and be effective, its not hard.
Weekly smaller updates that are always fixing something would be great...with all the bugs, big and small, there shouldnt be a week go by where something doesnt get fixed....
For now, Just words and honestly are hollow. You have failed to deliver over and over and have lied to the HD2 players constantly over the past 2 years. Worse when you are caught in the lie you refuse to own up to it, say you fucked up and do better. So yeah, Words are hollow.
Also deep dives should include patch notes with ALL the information in them no hidden changes or alterations, be upfront and give a reason why canโt come up with one then easy solution is not to do it. (Allow community feedback beforehand maybe even vote on changes)
I think you should do monthly roadmaps and weekly deep dives to explain things more fluently and allow both the team to get more to grips with the choices made and to express it to the community more often and better. Including delays or changes and why.
Whatever content and communication that gets released won't matter if we just going to keep falling back into the same problem loop of its so over and were so back. If you don't change the way the studio sources feedback nothing meaningful will ever really change.
The super majority poll/voting system OSRS has keeps the playerbase very happy and engaged. Adding a console like this in Helldivers 2 would fix the majority of your problems but the key part is it needs to be in the game.
The surveys you guys have been running left the studio disconected from the core audience and major painpoints that anyone who plays regularly are still not being addressed.
You need to be getting feedback from people that are actually playing your game so they can get what they need to, through to you properly.
Example of all the polls OSRS runs in game if you don't play: oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Pโฆ
Write the communication like you did with the "progressing progression" message AND add in dates and stuff when you can to give players a expectation of when it will be done as well.
Words are like wind. After nearly two years of broken promises and anti-player design, nobody wants your 'deep dives' on empty fantasies. Show us you're different this time, or save your breath.
Seeing visual updates, or dev previews of "stuff" kind of like what we had for the city maps before the battle for super earth would definitely make me feel more secure about the future of the game. I still love Helldivers 2 but I hope our feedback is being heard.
This should have been the case 2 years ago and you know this to be true yet we got all kinds of excuses as to why this didn't happen/wasn't, do hope the next update is substantial in size and WORKS properly, the pulling teeth to get anything meaninfully fixed/done has to stop.
