Accept Album Ranking from Worst to Best #7: Eat The Heat (1989) Ooooooh I’ve been WAITING for this one!😂 This album gets WAAAAY too much hate, man! Is this album perfect? FAR from it. Does it deserve to be ranked at the BOTTOM of Accept’s catalog? Absolutely NOT! I imagine most of the distain for this album is toward the choice of David Reece as the new vocalist. I get to an extent. He’s a WAY different vocalist than Udo. Which in turn caused the drastic change in tone and songwriting. But I’ve always really liked Reece so this change doesn’t really bother me. What DOES bother me is the production! I FUCKING HATE it when kick drums sound louder than snare drums! It becomes WAY TOO distracting and basically snuffs out the rest of the music. And a few songwriting choices are…questionable😂 You’re going to sit there and TELL ME that ‘X-T-C’ doesn’t CRANK!? You’re lying to me and to yourself if you do😂 Now the next two songs, ‘Prisoner’ and ‘Love Sensation’, are not my favorites. They are NOT examples of this change in style producing good results😂 ‘D-Train’ FUCKIN SMOKES and might be my favorite on the album! I feel like Accept fans either love or hate ‘Generation Clash’. All I know is this song is the band trying SO HARD for David Reese to have his own version of ‘Balls To The Wall’😂 ‘Turn Of The Wheel’ is another underrated rocker! ‘Stand 4 What U R’ is a song I know isn’t great, but I unironically enjoy because it’s so damn catchy! The closers ‘Hellhammer’ and ‘Break The Ice’ are good songs too! Overall…YOU ALL ARE HATERS!😂 This album is OF COURSE ranked under the classic Udo albums. But it’s NOT the worst of their catalog! FAR FROM IT! I will DIE on this hill! This album ROCKS! 🔥🤘🏻

I had heard Hellhammer and wanted the more refined product, but was blown away by the atmospheres they created, both ancient and faster-than-light eternal (FTLE).
