Truth be told, Care Professional of the Month Trish C.’s journey to Home Instead® of Collin County, an award-winning franchise in Plano, Texas, covered an amazing 9,050 miles. That is because Trish is a native of Zimbabwe, where she got her start in her career field as a family caregiver and later was inspired to become a care professional. “Back home some years ago,” Trish explained, “my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and I had to take care of her. Because I helped her during her last days, it gave me closure and joy after she passed away that I was able to assist her and provide comfort. Of course I miss her, but there was a joy that she was no longer suffering and an unexpected confidence that I had handled the challenges associated with caring for my mother.” Trish added: “It was at that point in my life that I started taking caregiving seriously. I earned my Nurse Aide diploma, so when I came here to the United States, I just continued in the field. I have been a caregiving professional for about eight years.” Thirteen months ago, Trish joined the Home Instead franchise owned by Chase and Taylor Crenwelge. “I was looking for a job then I went on Indeed.com,” Trish recalled. “I applied and got an interview, so that’s how I got in.” Home Instead Care Pro Advocate Amanda Ross said: “Trish is always very positive and upbeat. One of her clients appreciates her willingness to help with such a positive attitude. The client and her family are extremely happy with Trish, just as any of her clients have been. Trish displays Home Instead’s guiding principles of ‘Build Trust, Take the Lead and Share Your Heart.’ For Trish, touching lives impacts her soul, whether she is providing physical help such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders or personal care or if she is offering emotional support in a companionship role.” Trish loves making memories with her clients and their family members. “I have so many clients I enjoy during my working hours that it’s hard to choose just one.” “One of my clients recently passed away. He wasn’t a talker, but each time I went to see him, he would let me know what he liked and didn’t like. It filled my heart with joy that he was open to me. It’s those situations and other things that make me go above and beyond the call of duty for my clients,” Trish said. Trish is an important part of the Care Pro team at the Collin County franchise, a member of a network comprised of Home Instead, Inc. and its parent company, Honor. With the world’s largest home-care network and the most advanced care platform, Honor and Home Instead are revolutionizing care for older adults, their families and Care Pros. Combined, the network has more than 100,000 Care Pros who are meeting the growing needs of millions of older adults and their families worldwide. Chantel B. has joined four other Care Professionals who have been honored in 2026 at the award-winning Home Instead® franchise in Philadelphia, where Chief Executive Officer Steve Levin and Chief Operations Officer Charlea Lyn Redsell are the co-owners. Other Care Pro honorees are Belinda J., Ericka T. and Miasia J., said Home Instead Service Coordinator Janelle Muhlanga, when she announced Chantel’s accolade. What sets Chantel apart? Could Chantel’s clients feel her compassion and empathy on the day she first showed up to assist them? Those are two of the characteristics that are evaluated when a Care Pro is considered for the employee award. Of course, there are others. Has Chantel gone above and beyond the call of duty? Does Chantel possess the skills and wisdom to be highly successful? Is Chantel exceptional at her work with any client? Finally, does Chantel focus on Home Instead’s training, processes and procedures of successful caregiving? In other words, does she work at getting better? For Janelle, the answers were yes. When Janelle announced Chantel had been honored, Janelle said Chantel displays Home Instead’s guiding principles of “Build Trust, Take the Lead and Share Your Heart.” Janelle added: “Home Instead’s mission is to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families, and to pioneer greater professionalism within care work. That’s why we’ve created a care experience that’s based on human touch, transparency and compassion. Chantel is an important part of that care experience.” In addition to Chantel’s strong companionship skills, she provides safety assurance, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation and errands. Chantel offers personal assistance with eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, incontinence care, cognitive impairment, hospice support and mobility. By expertly doing so, Chantel not only assists her clients, but helps their families eliminate worry, reduce stress and re-establish personal freedom. To build on their knowledge and experience, Chantel and other Care Pros at the Philadelphia franchise are offered the opportunity to increase their dementia-care skills by taking part in the Home Instead network’s one-of-a-kind training protocol. Home Instead’s Person-Centered Care Training for Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for incorporating the evidence-based dementia-care practice recommendations in these topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication. Chantel is an important part of the Care Pro team at the Philadelphia franchise, a member of a network comprised of Home Instead, Inc. and its parent company, Honor. With the world’s largest home-care network and the most advanced care platform, Honor and Home Instead are revolutionizing care for older adults, their families and Care Pros. For the past five years, Andres F. has been the consummate professional. Home Instead® Recruitment and Engagement Advisor Rozephyr Jean, speaking on behalf of the award-winning Midland-Odessa, Texas, franchise, confirmed it. “Andres has been a valued member of our Home Instead team since 2021, consistently delivering high-quality care to our clients year after year,” said Rozephyr, who announced Andres had been honored for the second time as the West Texas Home Instead’s Care Professional of the Month. Andres was selected for the first time in January 2022. The identical accolade followed in May 2026. “Andres’ patience, attention to detail and exceptional caregiving skills shine through in every service he provides,” Rozephyr noted. “He is reliable, always punctual and rarely calls off. Andres is also willing to stay late if needed and frequently picks up extra shifts to ensure our clients receive the best care possible.” Rozephyr added: “Andres’ prompt communication with our Home Instead office makes coordination seamless and efficient. We are truly grateful to have Andres as part of the Home Instead Midland-Odessa family!” Andres’ most memorable family-caregiving experience was excruciating, but the tragedy served as the impetus for personal growth and a promise. “It was the most difficult and painful period of my life, but it gave me the strength and inspiration to continue to help those in need whenever I could,” Andres recalled. “During my adult years, one of my siblings was diagnosed with cancer two months after arriving in America. At that time, he was living with me and another sibling. Being new to the country and due to financial constraints, we could not afford medical treatment for him. As a result, we just had to accept life as it was, and we cared for him to the best of our abilities until he was called to Higher Service.” To know Andres’ childhood background is to know his heart. A South American native, Andres was born in Delta de Amacura, Venezuela. He grew up in Imbotero, Guyana, on the northwest border with Venezuela in an area known as the hinterlands of Guyana. “There are lots of forests, and transportation is mainly by water,” Andres said. “In my country, growing up in a community where there was a high level of poverty, certain values were instilled in us as children. “Coming from a large family, I always witnessed my parents helping others who were less fortunate than us even though we had just a little more than others. Those values have been embedded in me all my life. I never had the opportunity to take care of my grandparents or a parent. My grandparents were deceased while I was a child. I left home at an early age, seeking employment to help my family, before immigrating to the U.S.” Andres ended up in New York City, where he worked for several years in the hotel industry before deciding to take early retirement and move to West Texas. “My wife and I always had visited Texas on vacation because the tropical environment reminds us of the countries from which we came,” he said. In 2019, Andres and his wife relocated to Odessa and spent time at home unwinding before deciding to try to make an impact on society. “I began exploring ideas of how I could make a meaningful contribution toward helping those in need,” Andres said. “After several discussions with my wife and with the help of another family, we chose foster parenting. After seven months of fostering two children, which we both enjoyed, the kids were reunited with their mom. I thought of other ways to help people, and it also had been my dream to work with the elderly. After the departure of the foster children, I browsed the internet and found several caregiving agencies. I chose Home Instead,” Andres said. The move to senior care stirred memories of Andres’ long-ago goals before he entered the hotel industry. “I completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and CNA programs with the intent of becoming a nurse or EMT. Unfortunately, those careers were put on hold for financial reasons,” said Andres, who joined Home Instead on Sept. 30, 2021. “Overall, working with Home Instead has been a heartwarming experience as it has given me the opportunity to fulfill my passion. Helping my clients daily, seeing their expressions of contentment and hearing them express gratitude for my service makes me happy as a Care Pro. This inspires me to want to do more for them,” Andres said. homeinstead.com/location/741… #MidlandTX #OdessaTX #MidlandOdessa #HomeInstead #DementiaCare #GardendaleTX #GoldsmithTX #PermianBasin @homeinstead

I AM so thankful to be receiving this message on this night. Divine timing. I’m caregiving tonight. I think it’s the first time in a couple of weeks. I am practicing your teaching as I read it because I am understanding it through your beautiful words. They guide me in real time and keep me focused with pure intention. I also feel you come and wrap your wings around me from behind or give me a little kick when it’s time. It’s so perfect. I am practicing healing meditation on the HomeInstead client’s pain points per his invitation. I AM also imagining and manifesting our beautiful Gaia. Thank you, my LOVE. You have brought me such PEACE on this night after weeks of beautiful, fun yet scary challenges. I AM forever GRATEFUL for you and The Light of the Creator for so much support, guidance and Love. 🤍🙏🪽✨

There’s a strong spiritual aspect to two-time Care Professional of the Month Gladis’ position with Home Instead® of Midland-Odessa, Texas. “I just think God always had something waiting for me. That is how I felt about my job,” explained Gladis, who joined the award-winning franchise in February 2025 and was honored as the office’s Care Pro of the Month in June 2025 and again in March 2026. “I really think this is the best job in the world,” Gladis said, “because I receive fulfillment from taking care of people who really need me. By working for Home Instead and the flexible scheduling it affords me, I can still take care of my family like I want. With this job, I can pitch in and help my family financially. It’s the best thing because I was an 18-year-old stay-at-home mom when I found Home Instead, and I love it.” Gladis added: “I just love to do something for my clients so I can make their life better and brighter. I will always be ready for the big smile they have for me when I arrive.” For Home Instead Engagement and Training Coordinator Rozephyr Jean, there was no question about honoring Gladis for a second time in nine months. “Gladis arrives every day with a positive attitude and gives her all to the clients she serves. Her consistent works speak for themselves as this is her second time being selected as Care Pro of the Month,” Rozephyr said. “In the one year and two months Gladis has been with Home Instead Midland, she has made a powerful impact through her heart, kindness, compassion and genuine willingness to learn.” Rozephyr pointed out that Gladis works with some of Home Instead’s most complex-needs clients, consistently picks up extra shifts and makes every effort to attend each ongoing training session. “Gladis stands out for her proactive approach – asking questions, seeking guidance and working to handle situations thoughtfully and effectively before challenges arise,” Rozephyr said. “Her communication with the office is timely and intentional, and she truly seeks to understand how to provide the best possible care.” Speaking on behalf of Home Instead co-owners Lorena and William Shensky, Rozephyr said: “Thank you, Gladis, for your dedication, professionalism and compassionate spirit. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Home Instead Midland family, and we are proud of you!” Gladis already has accumulated a lifetime of memories in her short Home Instead tenure. On an unforgettable day, Gladis’ huge heart melted. As she entered her client’s home, the client exclaimed: “I always look forward to Wednesday because it’s the day when I get to see you.” Gladis recalled: “That meant a lot to me.” The client’s words rivaled another memorable day. “My favorite moment happened when I arrived at a home and the client’s eyes opened, and she welcomed me,” Gladis said. In general, Gladis added: “For every client, I want to be there for them, whether it is something such as watching a softball game with them or doing the chores they can no longer do.” Gladis served as a family caregiver long before arriving at Home Instead. “Years ago,” Gladis remembered, “my grandfather had been diagnosed with kidney cancer, and that’s when the idea of professional caregiving started for me. First, I just started driving him to his doctors’ appointments. It was a long journey, but I was with him all the time. That was when I knew I loved to be there when somebody needed me. I just love this job, if I can call it a ‘job.’ I know I was born for this job,” she said. #MidlandTX #OdessaTX #MidlandOdessa #HomeInstead #DementiaCare #GardendaleTX #GoldsmithTX #PermianBasin @homeinstead homeinstead.com/location/741…
