Interrailing Europe with my brother and gay best friend it is !

I remember walking up a steep hill in the pouring rain to the youth hostel in Koblenz when I went interrailing with friends and laughing as my friend’s shorts started foam!

Also, for those young enough to still do so, I can't recommend interrailing/backpacking around Europe enough. Only went for 20 days but it was one of the best things I've ever done.

Not sure if others will agree or not but I was 18 at the time, had just finished my A levels & was interrailing around Europe (I watched this in a Brandenburg Gate fan park). The 2018 World Cup was my favourite as an England fan and this was probably the highlight of that.

That is exactly what Kirstie Allsopp did.Except it was a continent. Her 15 year old son went interrailing with his 16 year old friend. I, as a woman who interrailed alone, twice, long ago, pointed out hazards and risks. Her defence was that he'd be fine, he had his phone.

I've been away from all news since Friday night and all that's been bothering me is train timetables. Go interrailing and leave the world behind

I took two weeks off for a spot of interrailing and it looks like I'm going to be boiled alive for the most part. I can handle mid 20s but 34/37 in some parts. 🥵

interrailing really has made me appreciate knowing you have a toilet you can go whenever you need to. no need to search for a (preferably free) toilet in google maps and then the toilet is not open and you're almost pissing your pants and you need to search for a new one

In Europe at least if you’re upper middle class between 17-25 interrailing where you travel with your mates to different cities in Europe by train is like a rite of passage and you just live in hostels most of the time it’s good fun

From my northern European perspective we haven't really gotten all that much out of it. Euro has been bad for our economy, we've always been net payers to the Union. Sure interrailing has been fun, but it's not worth the price.
