#KNOWLEDGEDRAIN1 🚨 The Netherlands Pays the Bill: 314,000 Newcomers in 2024 Cost Us Billions – And It’s Only Getting Worse
The Netherlands, 2026
😤 While many Dutch people are barely making ends meet, 314,000 non-Western migrants and asylum seekers entered our country in 2024 alone. That is no longer a small stream. That is a river.
And yes, that has consequences. Not an opinion. Just facts.
🆘 What does this concretely mean for you and your wallet?
Here is a clear table with the hard figures:
#314000Newcomers #BillionsInCosts #HumanCapitalDilution
🆘 Imagine: this is just one year. These people have children (often more than the Dutch average of 2.5 versus 1.4), and those children grow up in households where
#benefit dependency is often the norm. That is not a judgment — that is a behavioral pattern that continues.
🆘 The ball keeps rolling. And the Dutch taxpayer keeps paying the bill.
⁉️ And we haven’t even included higher education yet…
🆘 Currently, 131,000 international students are studying in the Netherlands.
🆘 Many programmes are taught entirely in English. Dutch students receive no priority in numerus fixus programmes.
🆘 In addition, 40-60% of lecturers at universities and universities of applied sciences are of foreign origin.
🆘 Our own talent is being displaced, education is becoming more superficial because it is taught in a second language,
🆘 and much of the knowledge flows out of the country again after graduation.
#BrainDrain #EnglishEducation #DisplacementOfOwnTalent
🆘 This is not an incident. This is a structural choice that is making the Netherlands dumber and more expensive.
⁉️ While we are facing shortages in healthcare, technology and education, we are importing large numbers of people who struggle to keep up in precisely those sectors.
🆘 The ordinary Dutch citizen pays the bill:
💔🇳🇱 through higher taxes
💔🇳🇱 lower wages in the lower segments
💔🇳🇱 fuller schools
💔🇳🇱 longer waiting lists in healthcare
💔🇳🇱 higher energy bills
💔🇳🇱 more expensive care
💔🇳🇱 less perspective for our own children
💔🇳🇱 and a country that is collectively losing human capital
🆘 The Netherlands cannot sustain this.
In 2024 alone, 314,000 newcomers arrived. According to these calculations, this leads to €11–17 billion in costs in the first year, €2–4 billion in additional welfare costs per year, and an estimated lifetime cost of €125–220 billion.
If these are the consequences of just one year of inflow, what do ordinary Dutch people actually notice? More prosperity, better care, more housing and stronger social provisions? Or rather higher burdens, longer waiting lists, more housing shortages and increasing pressure on the welfare state?
#D66,
#CDA and
#VVD — especially Rob Jetten, Bontenbal and Dilan Yeşilgöz
This is not bad luck. This is not coincidence. This is deliberate policy.
🆘 You are plunging us into a crisis that resembles 1974, but without an external enemy. This time, you are our greatest enemy.
