The chart makes the engines seem separate but ModuleSystem is actually believed to be a highly modified form of the BOTW engine, which itself is a highly modified fork of the Xenoblade X engine. Part of why X was made was for an engine capable of open world terrains on the Wii U.

I know the job site has some stuff Specifically I remember heavily censored looks at a lighting bake plugin for Maya used for a lot of games starting with SMM2 and a look at some asset manager thingy used for lunchpack and modulesystem by the looks of it

The Nintendo Switch Online Playtest Program game uses ModuleSystem as it's engine, as indicated by the RomFS of the game. This engine has been used in the past for Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Tears of the Kingdom.

I have no idea what you're talking about, the ModuleSystem engine that Mario vs. Donkey Kong uses is only used by Switch Sports, Splatoon 3, TotK and SMB Wonder.

Wonder uses (what we only know as) ModuleSystem, which is also used by Nintendo Switch Sports, Tears of the Kingdom, and Splatoon 3. It was an evolution from BOTW that was designed to be reused for all their games. 3D World uses ActionLibrary which doesn’t have any relation here.

Wait if they're standardizing their engines and NST has access to ModuleSystem which is far more updated obv, that might mean and later games won't use ActionLibrary, possibly making F-Zero 99 be the last one that used it, no other N division outside EPD has access to them atm

Noticing a lot of 2d extensions not found in the other ModuleSystem games so far. As someone who is following ModuleSystem closely I will be looking into this game.

Mario Vs DK is ModuleSystem. Phive (Nintendo's physics library) swapped out Havok with PhysX for this release.

#MariovsDokeyKong utiliza a ModuleSystem como motor gráfico... interessante O mesmo de Zelda: TOTK e Splatoon 3, acredito que a NST seja a primeira dev externa (de fora da EPD) a usar essa engine
[Mario vs. Donkey Kong] A free demo is now available on the eShop. This game uses the ModuleSystem engine (also used by Tears of the Kingdom and Splatoon 3). Nintendo’s internal codename for this game is “Grande”.

most of the new Nintendo stuff is in ModuleSystem, not Lunchpack. Splatoon 3, TOTK, and I think an earlier game that I'm forgetting all use it

i mean i think it should be the same thing since other modulesystem games have rstb, people edit it to mod in stuff that exceeds the original file size except switch sports bc it uses header v1 (other games use v2) and no one has made a tool compatible with v1 yet :c

Last I've heard: it's the same core engine (right now: it's "ModuleSystem") as Splatoon 3 and now Super Mario Wonder. But Nintendo kinda treat them as branches akin to how Valve does with the Source Engine games.

[Super Mario Bros. Wonder] The game has leaked onto the Internet. It uses the ModuleSystem engine, which is also utilized by Tears of the Kingdom and Splatoon 3. If you are concerned about spoilers, now is the time to implement spoiler avoidance measures!

It’s easy to spot ModuleSystem games just by looking at what kinds of files are in the ROM and how they’re laid out. I also double checked the game code to verify. “ModuleSystem” is a best guess based on what others have found, since Nintendo doesn’t talk about their engines.
