使い方の代表例とその思想をば。 Spectral→ Multiband→ シングルバンドコンプ という順番で考えると非常に分かりやすいです。 スペクトラル段では突発的なスパイクや細いレゾナンスを処理して後段コンプが誤作動する原因を軽く処理します。あくまでも軽く。目安としては良くなった！とはっきりわからない程度です。 マルチバンド段では帯域間の極端なアンバランスを整えます。こちらも軽めに。 最後にシングルバンドコンプを使うと、コンプが局所的なピークや帯域偏りに引っ張られず（普通にコンプを使うとこれらのせいでポンピングしたり不自然な挙動を起こします）より自然に動きやすくなります。 つまり「シングルバンドコンプを自然に動かす為に」入力信号を段階的に整える考え方です。 重要なのは、前段のスペクトラルやマルチバンドで音を完成させようとしない、 あくまでも後段のシングルバンドコンプに誤作動させない手段です。 思想としてはコンプが自然に動ける入力を作る方法で、これがまたOrraPressなら簡単に出来てしまいます。

【DTM Tips】無料プラグイン「OTT」の正体と、プロが手放せない理由 「とりあえずOTTを挿してDepthを下げる」 DTMerなら一度は通る道ですが、OTTが裏で「何を」しているか、ご存知ですか？ 根拠と仕組みを知ると、ミックスの精度が劇的に変わります。 1. そもそもOTTってなに？ OTTは、元々Ableton Liveに標準搭載されている「Multiband Dynamics」というエフェクトの「Over The Top」というプリセットです。 EDMプロデューサーの間でこのプリセットが「音がバキバキになってヤバい」と話題になり、Xfer RecordsのSteve Duda氏（Serumの開発者）が、Ableton以外のDAWでも使えるように無料でプラグイン化したのが、現在みんなが使っている「OTT」です。 2. なぜ音がバキバキになるの？ 通常コンプレッサーは「大きい音を小さくする（Downward Compression）」だけです。 しかしOTTは、3つの帯域（高・中・低）に対して以下の2つを同時に極端にかけています。 ⬇️ 下向きコンプ： 飛び出たピークを強烈に潰す ⬆️ 上向きコンプ（Upward Compression）： 隠れている「小さな音」を限界まで持ち上げる この「小さな音を持ち上げる」機能こそがOTTの正体です。 リバーブの余韻、ボーカルの息遣い、シンセの隠れた倍音など、通常は聞こえにくい微細な成分が強制的にトップレベルまで引き上げられるため、音が「常にフルテンションで前に張り付く」ようになります。 ボーカルやシンセ、ベースやドラム、人によってはマスターに状況する人もいます。いろんなところで活躍可能性があるのもOTTの魅力ですね！ ⚠️注意⚠️ OTTはデフォルト設定（Depth 100%）だと音が壊れます。 パラレルコンプ（原音にエフェクト音を薄く混ぜる）の要領で、Depthを10〜30%に下げて使ってみてください。
