what sucks the most is that they work like a more simplistic version of the minecraft noteblocks which you'd think woulda grabbed some attention but i guess not its kinda depressing cuz they're really cool and coulda been used for background music on maps

You can directly find these noteblocks in the Launcher for Minecraft Dungeons II, if you spam them, they show the rune.

Fourth, the launcher got updated with a minigame on the front. Clicking on the noteblocks in a certain order shows the countdown to the XBOX showcase. Clicking on the note blocks also show letters in Illageralt, which translate to INFECTED.

omg wait true. the amount of experimentation, plus the fact you have no idea what notes playing from a note block plus the fact the colours of the notes literally do not help mean youll be hopeless. even if you knew noteblocks did it youd need the wiki to help

A good theory I've heard is that instead of noteblocks it'll require playing music disc 5. Would be a lot more intuitive for players and the reason it's split into 9 pieces would make way more sense

I like the theory its gonna require note blocks to activate. After all, the area in general is sound related. In the teasers and dungeons 2 trailer we saw noteblocks. So maybe its gonna be frequency key activated. How the player naturally figures it out is beyond me though

Ok so like, not to join the cope train, but I'm a little surprised I hadn't seen anyone mention the heavy presence of colors in regards to the 4th dimension? Both on the noteblocks opening the portal, and the color-shifting glow in the secret video.
